New Traffic Charges for Lisbon, Porto and Faro Airports
New Traffic Charges for Lisbon, Porto and Faro Airports on 1st December 2008.
Under new Regulatory Decree nº. 1312/2008 of 12th November, traffic charges in Continental Airports will have an average increase of 1,5% next 1st December 2008, a lower figure than the inflation rate estimated at 2,9% for 2008.
Following our commercial policy for aviation activities, which took into account the results of the annual consultation to Users, a third MTOW category has been created for aircraft above 150 ton. On 1st December 2008, larger aircraft operating in our airports will pay lower landing charges.
For aircraft up to 150 ton, landing charges will have a variation of 1%. The per tonne charge has been reduced by 14%, making landing charges for an aircraft like the A330 or A340 5% cheaper than the charges currently in force.
Passenger service charges have increased by 2.1% for all passenger types, as have aircraft parking, hangar and airport opening charges, where these are applicable.
Taking into account that traffic charges have not so far been revised and that the update of the traffic charges will be in force at the end of 2008, ANA will not propose any update of traffic charges during the year 2009.
We further inform that Governmental Decree nº. 1280/2008, 7th November 2008 approved a new charge on assistance to passengers of reduced mobility in the amount of 0,61€ per embarked passenger, to be levied to all airlines operating in ANA airports. This charge covers the costs of the assistance to passengers of reduced mobility, na activity which has been the responsibility of ANA since 26 July 2008, under EC Regulation nº. 1107/2008, 5 July 2006. In compliance with EC regulations, the charge was calculated so as to distribute costs among all passengers of air transport, without additional amounts being borne specifically by passengers of reduced mobility.
